About This Design

Kanji numeral one in circle luggage tag

This KAMON is called 'Maru-ni ichi-no-ji' in Japan./ This is the kanji numeral one. It symbolised being the first to arrive at the battlefield, or may also represent a spearhead. The character can also be read "katsu" which means "to win" a battle. For these reasons, it was considered symbolic of the samurai spirit. (From "Family Crests of Japan" ICG Muse,Inc.)

I was happy with the acrylic tag but it came with a thin leather strap to attach the tag to luggage (like a cat collar). I replaced the strap with a metal ring off of a key ring as the leather strap would come undone or break easily as luggage is sometimes handled without much care by airlines. Printing is great. Colours and positioning of the design I put on the tag were perfect. Very pleased.
