Just Sit Magnet

Someone once said "Writing about music is like dancing about architecture—it's a really stupid thing to want to do" - which is both funny and harsh, and also maybe both right and wrong. Of course words can't adequately explain what music is but they can maybe, sometimes, kind of capture its essence, and in so doing nudge us towards something that we might otherwise have missed. Zen's a bit like that. Words can't accurately describe what it is, naturally, but they can hint at it, and like a good music review, that can sometimes be enough to make us want to take a closer look (or listen), maybe give it a spin and see if it's for us. Having said that, I'm beyond woefully unqualified to say anything about it whatsoever beyond what can fit on the front of a T-shirt, but if you're interested and haven't already, check out the two Suzukis, D.T. and Shunryu.
