Jules Cheret Carnaval button. Lithograph art nouveau poster from 1892. Along with Alphonse Mucha, Jules Cheret was one of the great poster designers of the art nouveau movement. Theatre de l’Opera Carnaval is a poster that features a pretty young redhead in a yellow dress holding a yellow fan and wearing a yellow eye mask. Behind her stands a French gentleman with a moustache in a tuxedo and bowler hat stands in front of a clown.
