Johnstone tartan blue green plaid grosgrain ribbon

I make angel ornaments. This year I decided to make 'bear' angels depicting our family's Scottish heritage by making the wings out of clan Johnstone's tartan in the form of ribbon. That was not easy to find. Enter Zazzle. They printed grosgrain ribbon in my family's tartan. It is beautiful. They had to miniaturize the pattern to get it to fit the ribbon, but it looks perfect. Sorry I can't get the image to download. You would see a 3 1/2 inch angel bear with wings and a 'kilt' made from Zazzle ribbon. He's a cutie!

I have bought 40 yards in total, love this ribbon. I have cut into 3 foot lengths with swallow tail ends to minimise fraying edges. They will be hung over the backs of the chairs at our upcoming wedding. Overall I am impressed with the quality and despite a couple of flaws I recommend having custom ribbon made.
