We are not sure exactly what time this photo was taken but somewhere between 1898 and 1946. The desert was partially barren and settlers either went back home to Israel during or after the War or are harvesting in late 1900s. Either way it's a wonderful scene of hard workers growing and building a land as we have for over 5,000 years in Israel. The print show an original long time photogaphic mishap but we decided to leave this in its raw form unedited because we find this sort of pleasing in a way and authentic bearing the long years this print has been circulating. The preservation of the original print was either not preserved correctly or the photographer made a boo boo and decided to show this print either way. We do not know who the photographer was then.
