Portrait of Jennie Walters Delano c1876 by American Painter George Augustus Baker (1821 - 1880); known for his miniatures and portrait paintings.
This is a beautiful portrait of Jennie Walters Delano (1853 - 1922) the daughter of William T. and Ellen Walters (née Harper), and the sister of Henry Walters; and was most likely done around the time of her marriage when she was 23 years of age.
In the painting she is sitting in front of an olive coloured wall, with her tied in a circular bundle towards the back of her head.
She is wearing a gold necklace with a ruffled collar white blouse and a black dress with blue a black ruffles along the v-shaped collar that match a sash that she has tied around her waist.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
