The main monument is a sculpture by Finnish artist Eila Hiltunen titled Passio Musicae and unveiled on September 7, 1967. The modern piece sparked a debate about the merits and flaws of abstract art, so this figurative sculpture of Sibelius was included in the work.
The Sibelius Monument was unveiled on September 7, 1967. President Urho Kekkonen was present, with Finland's political, cultural and business elite.
The face of Jean Sibelius as he looked circa 1910 was cast in stainless steel.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
