Jachin and Boaz - New age series - Poster
ESOTERIC MEANING As with most of the occult symbols, the columns Masonic hide multiple layers of meaning, some for the layman and other popular among the highest degrees of Freemasonry. However, it is generally known that Jachin and Boaz represent the balance between two opposite forces. "These are the names [Jachin and Boaz] of the two pillars constructed under the portico of the Temple of King Solomon. They were eighteen cubits high and were beautifully decorated with garlands, pomegranates and various textures. On the top of each column there were large bowls - today mistakenly called spheres or globes - one of the cups contained the fire and the other water. The celestial globe (originally the bowl of fire), surmounting the right hand column (Jachin), is the symbol of the divine, while the terrestrial globe (the bowl of water), surmounting the left-hand column (Boaz), means the earthly man. These two pillars respectively connote also the expressions assets and liabilities of the divine energy, the sun and the moon, sulphur and salt, good and evil, light and darkness. Among them the door that leads to the house of God, their presence at the gates of the shrine is a reminder of the fact that Jehovah is androgynous and an anthropomorphic deity. The two parallel columns also indicate the zodiacal signs of Cancer and Capricorn, placed in the room of initiation to represent birth and death - the extremes of physical life. As a result, they signify the summer and winter solstices. ' "4 "Alef is the man; Beth is a woman, one is the principle, 2 is the word A is the active ingredient, B is the passive, the monad is BOAZ, the dyad is Jachin. In the trigrams of Fohi, the unit is the dyad is YIN and YANG. Boaz and Jachin are the names of the two symbolic pillars above the main entrance of the Temple of Solomon. In the Kabbalah these pillars explain all the mysteries of antagonism, natural, political or religious. It also clarifies the "procreative battle" between man and woman, because, according to the law of nature, the woman must resist the man so as to be overwhelmed by it. The active principle seeks the passive principle, the full want the vacuum, the jaws of the serpent attract the snake's tail, turning in a circle then, escapes and chases itself at the same time. The woman is the creation of man and the universal creation is the bride of the first principle. " The permanent alliance between reason and faith will not be the result of their absolute distinction and separation, but by their mutual cooperation, thus drying up their fraternal "principle of competition." Such is the meaning of the two pillars of the porch of Solomon, and the other one called Jachin Boaz, one white and the other black. Are distinct and separate, are even contrary in appearance, if a blind force trying to merge them making them closer to each other, the roof of the temple would collapse.Separately, their power is one, united are two powers that destroy each other. For the same reason the spiritual power is weakened whenever attempting to usurp the temporal, while the temporal power becomes the victim of his abuse in the spiritual. Gregory VII ruined the Papacy, the kings schismatics have lost and will lose the monarchy. The human equilibrium requires two feet, the worlds gravitate by means of two forces; generations need two sexes. This is the meaning of the mystery of Solomon, represented by the two pillars of the temple, Jachin and Boaz. " The union of the two pillars are said to generate a third pillar, the middle one, which is esoterically man and humanity. "When the two columns are the balance between them means that you have reached the union of the Sushumna and the Kundalini. This sacred marriage will create the so-called kundalini fire that radiate throughout the human body, filling it with divine light. It is then that humanity will become the third column of the Temple of Wisdom. He / She will be a column formed by the combined forces of the Force (Jachin) and Beauty (Boaz). This act constitutes the "Lost Word" in the vibrational system of the physical body of the soul. "

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning! The print is precise, clear and of an excellent standard. It was cleverly packaged so there wasn’t a blemish or crease. Perfect!
