This vintage Canadian design features the classic Moose Island Algoma painting by the great early 20th Century Canadian painter J. E. H. Jackson. This design was inspired by a childhood trip to Kleinberg, Ontario and a visit to the McMichael Canadian Art Collection to view paintings by the Group of Seven featuring this artist.
James Edward Hervey MacDonald (May 12, 1873 – November 26, 1932) was an English-Canadian artist and one of the founders of the Group of Seven who initiated the first major Canadian national art movement. He was the father of illustrator Thoreau MacDonald.
