Ironclad Eastport by D.M.N. Stouffer 1864 Poster

A classic image from Zazzle's extensive collection of historic American Civil War photographs and lithographs. This commemorative poster print features a reproduction of a watercolor done by Navy Ensign D.M.N. Stouffer in 1864, of two ironclad ships which were part of the Mississippi Squadron. The Eastport was captured by Union forces, and converted to a ram. She was severely damaged during the Red River Campaign of 1864 and had to be destroyed. The Lafayette was a side-wheel steamer built in 1848. She was purchased in May 1862 and converted to an ironclad ram. The vessel ran the Confederate batteries at Vicksburg.

my staff loves it , and other branch is asking me where i got this and i give your website to them. maybe you can add up on personalised option, laminated or a frame maybe . great job. but you can add an option if we wanted to have it laminated or frame as add up option

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs. it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
