Ageratum is a beautiful and interesting flower that is known by many "common" names, including "floss flower", "fuzz flower", "billygoat weed", "chick weed", and "goatweed". Ageratum symbolises politeness but is also thought to represent agelessness and ageless beauty. One of the fascinating things about ageratum is the REASON it's called things like "goatweed": there are some varieties that are said to smell as bad as an old billy goat.
