I purchased this mug because my students and I were reading the masterpiece novel, 1984. Most of my students thought it was pretty cool. Some rolled their eyes. Note the white and black hands shaking. This is from the novel---a concept called "Black/White". If the government says something that is white is actually black, you convince your mind to believe exactly what the government is telling you to believe, no matter if it contradicts what you are perceiving. The mug is durable and washes very nicely--no filmy residue like on some mugs. I was worried because I enlarged the image, but there was no pixelation or blurring.

The quality of these larger mugs is very good. I have been putting mine through the dishwasher all the time and it shows no signs of fading or dulling. Ergonomically these are lovely to hold and have fast become my favourite mug for a big cup of tea or coffee. Totally recommend getting the tea infuser with the mug especially if you like using loose leaf tea, which always tastes better from my experience and is better for the environment. Printing was good, bright and most importantly accurately matches the colouring shown on the website.
