Vintage - Imaginary Friends, Card

A vintage children's book illustration by Anne Anderson from the 1924 book titled "My Story Book." It depicts a little girl in her nightgown, carrying a candle to light her way to bed. As she passes a window, her imaginary friends from dreamland peer in at her. The Scottish-born artist, Anne Anderson (1874-1952), spent her childhood in Argentina, and moved to England as a young adult. She was known for her art nouveau children’s book illustrations. She also painted, etched and designed greeting cards and postcards.
