This design features a painting by the Flemish master Quentin Matsys (1466–1530). It shows an older, lecherous man who is eagerly attracted to a younger, beautiful woman, representing the traditional trope that old age can make people foolish. He gazes adoringly at her beauty, and the two are holding each other in an embrace, but the woman has an accomplice dressed in a fool's costume who is stealing his purse: she is tricking him for her own gain. Some art critics have noted that the old man's face was heavily influenced by a grotesque drawing done by Leonardo da Vinci, making the work an interesting combination of Northern European themes with Italian artistry. The painting's origin is usually dated to between 1520 and 1525.

The watch is beautiful! Exactly how I imagined the final product to be. It is very sleek and classic and it's a watch that only I have because I personalized the face.
The only gripe I have is that the buckle and the rim of the watch face are different colors and finishing. The buckle is gold with a shiny finish while the rim of the watch face is silver with a matte finish.
But honestly, the buckle and the face will never be seen on the same side of my wrist AND it's a fun trait that contributes to its specialness:-). The colors are a bit lighter than my original photo but it's definitely still acceptable! The quality is great, I can read the tiny words that I included in the numbers, which was my main concern. 100% would recommend to my friends and family!

I love Charles Russell art, and especially this painting of a bronco and cowboy. This watch is perfect with blue jeans and sweatshirts! I've gotten quite a few good comments when I wear it. Better than I expected! Amazing that a painting can be so clear on such a small canvas, but this worked out really well. I really like it.
