Fun fact: van Leeuwenhoek and the simple microscope he used to obtain his famous drawings of animalcules actually came after the invention of the compound microscope. Van's single-lens device was the better instrument because lens makers did not yet grasp of the principles of optics. In short: compound microscopes sucked well into the 1800s. This is the sort of thing you should know if your are going to own a LabKitty I heart optics design.

Very disappointed that it's faded in 6 months. Although I have been offered a credit for the sticker, that doesn't include postage, so will be out of pocket if I buy it again and the same thing will likely happen.
