Hyperbolic Dinosaur Tessellation Mouse Pad
A tessellation is a regular tiling of figures without any gaps or overlapping. This is a (6,4) hyperbolic tessellation, meaning that is was generated from a hyperbolic hexagon having 6 sides with 4 hexagons meeting at each vertex. This picture uses a special conformal mapping to distort the Poincaré disc into a rectangle. There are many ways to distort an image, but conformal mapping is the only method that preserves angles.
