Huntsville Postcard

Pineview reservoir, Huntsville, UT Huntsville's first European settlers arrived in the fall of 1860. They were Jefferson Hunt (for whom the town was named) and his family. The land was owned by Ute Indians. It was purchased for two ponies with additional payments. Skandinavian settlers arrived in 1864. By 1880 Huntsville had grown to a population over 800. The population was 649 at the 2000 census.
