Horses Ploughing Watercolour Poster

This watercolour painting is based on sketches I made during a local Kentish Ploughing match. It was like taking a step back in time watching the horses steadily pulling the plough guided by the patient ploughman. I have added my favourite Payne's very sky, so often seen in the Autumn and Spring, with Seagulls contrasting again the clouds. This fits best on a square canvas.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs. it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
