Historic Route 66 Destination Winslow Arizona Magnet

Winslow, is one of the locations along Arizona's segment of historic Route 66. It is known as "Main Street of America and the "mother road", US Route 66 was one of the original us highways. The highway connected Chicago to Los Angeles through eight states (including Illinois and California). The highway was established in 1926 the year US. numbered highways came into existence and it was officially removed from the US highway system in 1985 after having been replaced by the interstate highway system. Arizona established segments of the road as a national scenic byway (NSB) with the name “historic us route 66” in 2005.
