Historic Drayton Arms Apartment Savannah GA Postcard

Vintage postcard illustrated by the Tichnor Brothers in the 1940s-50s, of Drayton Arms Apartments, a twelve story building, completed in 1949 to be a large scale rental building. This was a response to the Veterans Emergency Housing Act after WWII. "Drayton Arms" is better known to Savannahians as "Drayton Towers", and was the first modern apartment building to feature air conditioning for its residents in the historic district. It has the most significant modern style within a well known historical city.
