Herring Gull Resting on Rock Jetty: Jigsaw Puzzle
While walking on the rocks at the south jetty in Barnegat Light we came across this wild herring gull, resting on a greyish rock and basking in the warm summer sun. This adult seagull has a white head with grey back, grey wings and white tail. White spots on black wing tips are visible. Individual wing feathers can be seen in this close up photo. Calm blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean can be seen in the background.
This scenic colour photograph by DeborahLynne, using a digital camera, was taken while visiting Barnegat Lighthouse State Park at the Jersey Shore and is located at the north end of Long Beach Island in Ocean County, New Jersey. This is a perfect spot to go bird watching for the avid birder.

I was a bit disappointed to find that for the price the puzzle was only a small 252 pieces ..... but ....... it is so intricate that if it was bigger I would be frazzled by now
bought as a special Christmas jigsaw for work colleagues to play with in our breaks - it is a great way to get the team to collaborate on something fun, and to start conversations between folk, and a great positive opportunity to provide compliments on the effort put in and progress being made
the puzzle itself is beautifully made - each piece feels lovely (not a cheap cardboard puzzle) and the shapes are all similar but different
Still a work in progress after a week - it's great!!!!
a truly lovely thing ... it will come out each year - both at work and at home. great image, and fantastic finish on the pieces
