Henri Rousseau Exotic Landscape mug. Oil painting on canvas from 1910. French painter Henri Rousseau fell in love with tropical scenes during his world travels. Exotic landscape is one of his famous primitivist jungle paintings feauturing monkeys playing in the forest. Two monkeys hang from an orange tree knocking fruit down to their friends below, while a larger monkey snacks on an orange nearby. The tropical foliage is rich, dense, and green, featuring white lilies and other tropical flowers. A pretty gift for fans of Henri Rousseau, jungle paintings, tropical landscapes, primitivism, and French art.

The quality of these larger mugs is very good. I have been putting mine through the dishwasher all the time and it shows no signs of fading or dulling. Ergonomically these are lovely to hold and have fast become my favourite mug for a big cup of tea or coffee. Totally recommend getting the tea infuser with the mug especially if you like using loose leaf tea, which always tastes better from my experience and is better for the environment. Printing was good, bright and most importantly accurately matches the colouring shown on the website.
