Jellyfish vintage marine texture Wall Clock
A very detailed drawing of a helmet jellyfish, scientific name Periphylla periphylla, by the 1800's artist-biologist Ernst Haeckel. This luminescent red-colored marine creature is an efficient predator, and lives in dark deep seas as sunlight can be very harmful to it. The clock numerals are represented by baby starfish, and the scalloped texture of a bright medusa (Zygocanna undulosa) on the background add a feminine touch to the composition. The pastel green and coral tones create a soft contrast and elegantly match the elegant lines of these beautiful illustrations, that can easily suit the shabby chic interiors of a beach or country house.
