"Gypsy Blossom" Irish Vanner stallion caravan cob Poster
Image is from the art, design and photo collection of Danaru. Original is oil on stretched canvas, painted by Ruanna Shadd a' Dann'l 2009. Subject is of the Gypsy Vanner/Cob horse of Ireland. The Vanner horse was the horse of choice by most Caravaners in Ireland. The Vanner with it's heavy muscle and bone coupled with it's smaller light draught size, about 13 to 14 hands, made it a perfect choice to pull the Caravans wagons. They are not only beautiful but have the sweet, mild, calm nature of the draughts. Also a good riding horse makes them a great all around trustworthy horse, not all however are of the pinto colouring as the one in this painting.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
