Grocers Warehouse Vintage Industrial Landscape Jigsaw Puzzle

Grocers Warehouse Vintage Industrial Landscape Jigsaw Puzzle

I created this digital art piece from a historic black and white depression era photograph courtesy of the NYPL PD collections. I colourized and added artistic effects to give it more of a modern grunge, mildly pop art feeling. I enjoy creating this kind of art and I am very grateful for public domain collections like the one this photo came from for opening up to artists the chance to help preserve glimpses back in time to our history. The scene here is an inner city brick town industrial warehouse district and and a semi run down grocery warehouse is the subject with two delivery men talking to each other while standing on the bumper of one of their trucks. There are two more people sitting on the stoop of the building and one just walking up from street. It has a moody lean tone and you can feel the poverty of the times. Seeing the run down state of the outer building makes you think the inside must be pretty devoid of inventory and it makes you sad to see a once thriving business in such a state. I don't know what city it is but it doesn't matter. It represents all the cities of America during the rough financial times of the 1930s. #industrial #landscape

Excellent product, I have been to Positano and my hotel features in the jigsaw so it was special for me. The quality is fantastic and is beautiful when finished. The one thing that could be improved would be a A4 or bigger actual picture of the jigsaw not just the tiny picture on the lid of the box, I have to use a magnifying glass. This is my third puzzle from zazzle and I am now going the send my own picture of Switzerland to be made into a puzzle. Very satisfied a little darker than appeared on the web site.
