A light Grey Kiwi. The national bird of New Zealand / Aotearoa. New Zealanders are often referred to as Kiwi's, an name we use with pride. The image is drawn with koru designs, The koru (Māori for "loop") is a spiral shape based on the shape of a new unfurling silver fern frond and symbolising new life, growth, strength and peace. I was extremely happy to find a tree ornament for my Occupational Therapist daughter. (I bought one a few years ago for my Paramedic son) & prior to seeing this I was trying to work out how I could create something similar for her.
