Greeting Card - Red Bow & Ribbon on Gold

In some contests, like those held at the county fair or in classrooms, a red ribbon is second only to a blue ribbon. In the family of awareness ribbons, the red ribbon is symbolic of individuals committed to driving sober over the the holidays and is even more widely recognised as support for and solidarity amongst people living with HIV/AIDS. Red is also associated with life and love and passion. Over the holidays, it is a favored colour because of holly berries and apples that were used to decorate holiday trees long ago. Christians also relate the colour to the blood of Jesus Christ when He was crucified which seems, strangely, both inappropriate and appropriate as Christmas is a celebration of the BIRTH of Christ. This beautiful, computer-generated ribbon and bow are offered on a digital background of "metallic gold" which, of course, also has significance in the story of Christmas. In the Bible, Matthew 2:11 reads, "And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense and myrrh." This beautiful card was designed with Christmas in mind, as is evidenced by the "Merry" and "Christmas" graphics on the interior. However, if you remove the red interior graphics, it is equally appropriate for as a birthday greeting. The gold graphic is repeated on both sides of the interior as well, for a little extra "shine".
