The Common, or Great, Mullein is a biennial plant that requires full sun and well-drained soil to thrive. It is an introduced plant but posses no threat to agriculture. Kids love it for the fuzzy leaves, and it is sometimes referred to as "Cowboy's Toilet Paper" and "Old Man's Blanket" because of the softness. When happy, the plant can reach at least 6 feet tall.
