He painted, catalogued, and described the birds of North America in a form far superior to what had gone before. His Birds of America is the most valuable book in the world. There are only about 120 copies of the original, and a copy in good condition is worth 8 million dollars. The first buyers of this painting included King George IV of England and King Charles I of France. I originally ordered 1 tie to test and ensure I liked it with the suits we had ordered! The tie came and it was perfect! We loved it! The colours were bright and the tie was beautifully made. I then ordered the 6 additional ties and the colours are slightly different. The 6 ties were a little less vibrant and the white background was slightly different! .
