Golden Lancehead, most dangerous endangered snake Postcard

~ Most venomous snake in the world is Endangered - Postcard Way way down on tiny Snake Island, off the coast of Brazil near São Paulo, lives only one species of snake, the Eyebrow Golden Lancehead, snake, but wow these snakes are prolific reproducers, such that over 100,000 of these ornery "pit vipers" live on the only ten acre island. They are so dangerous that the Brazilian navy allows only one person, a lighthouse keeper. to live full time on the island. Occasional snakeologists and other scientists come and go, but carefully. No one has been snake bitten there in 70 years, since a drunken sailor fell off a ship and washed up on shore and later tried to hobble around and find something to eat, but soon was gang-bitten and melted and was eaten himself. The Golden Lancehead is itself, technically, "Endangered", as the government of Brazil may someday get fed up with the situation, and try and put an end to the slithery occupation of this otherwise tranquil little isle. or the genetics of the swarm may implode, or unplode and who knows what will happen.
