Golden Gate Bridge Suspension Cable Postcard
Walking across the Golden Gate Bridge one sunny day in San Francisco, California, I took a photograph of one of its suspension cables set against a clear blue sky. The orange-red cable angles diagonally across the frame from the lower left to the upper right. Two pairs of suspender ropes stretch down to the left side of the photo's base. The main cable is massive, its diameter 36 3/8 inches while that of each suspender cable is 2 11/16 inches.
