Gold is used in the Chinese culture to symbolize wealth, success and nobility. In this design the color gold is used in its motifs to enhance the union of the married couple. The use of the auspicious Chinese symbol, "Double Happiness". spelled xi or "hsi" in Mandarin and pronounced "shuang-xi" is a well-known Chinese character used traditionally in Chinese wedding as a symbol of love, happiness, and luck for the newly wedded couple. Whilst cherry blossoms, a widely celebrated flower in the Asian culture is used to signify love, new beginnings and longevity for the happy couple.
