Gold Acorns Art Deco Tie

This elegant design has been adapted from a rare antiquarian book cover from 1894 featuring an art nouveau golden (gilt) acorn and oak leaf pattern set off against a dark blue background. This Arts & Craft style decorative book cover has been attributed to artist Talwin Morris (1865 – 1911). Morris inspired by the famous William Morris and was part of the circle of artists connected to Glasgow architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
