Gladiatior, Commercial Fishing Trawler in Alaska Poster
The Gladiator is a commercial fishing trawler which works out of the port of Dutch Harbour, Alaska. This photo shows the Gladiator travelling inside of the spit in Dutch Harbour, headed for the Trident dock in the sheltered bay created by the land spit. Behind the Gladiator the north shore of Dutch Harbour can be seen, as well as the snow covered mountains of Unalaska Island in the distance. The Gladiator uses nets to fish in the Bering Sea. The hull of the commercial fishing vessel is blue and the wheel house is white. The waters through which the Gladiator is travelling are a part of Illiuliuk Bay of Unalaska Island.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
