The ginkgo leaf crest
This design was created with reference to Nakamura-za theater's yagura tower drawn in 'Prosperity in the Eastern Capital' drawn by Utagawa Hiroshige, published in 'Family crests and family names' by Takarajima-sha (September 20, 2014).
Originally, the family crest of Nakamura Kanzaburo was 'dancing crane inside a circle.' However, the 5th shogun, Tokugawa Tsunayoshi, prohibited the use of the character or design of crane, which was the name of his beloved daughter. Therefore, the ginkgo leaf design, which resembles the shape of a crane spreading its wings and is also similar to an open fan, was chosen as a replacement due to its auspicious appearance (Takarajima-sha 'Family crests and family names').

I absolutely love this product. I turned out even better than I expected too. I bought this for my mother for Mother's Day and she really loves it, she shows it too everyone she can and they all love it as well and want to know where I bought it from. The design turned out perfect, the printing of the words is fantastic they were so clear and easy to read, the color was also nicer than I thought it would be plus the images are so clear to see. I myself can't seem to keep looking at it, it's just gorgeous I love it, it couldn't have turned out any better
