In the final year of his life, at age 80, Gian Lorenzo Bernini (1598-1680), who was devoted to his Faith and who had created art and architecture for no less than 8 popes, did sculpt in marble this 1679 BUST OF JESUS CHRIST THE SAVIOUR ... a photograph of which I computer colourized at my age 72 in 2024.
