There is a growing tribe of super passionate, fantastically chill people who have taken the sport of hammocking (yes, it's a thing) to a competitive level. As motivated as they are to break new records, these weekend warriors do occasionally have to return to the upright position when nature calls or to forage for snacks. It is during these times that you may pass by a vacant hammock and be tempted to dive in like a little homeless bird who just discovered a nest. Don't even think about it. Back away from the hammock slowly. Hammockers may look harmless but they can be highly territorial and are easily agitated when provoked. If you are approached by one and you hear a spasmodic screeching noise that sounds something like, "get out of my hammock!", proceed with sloth like motion and cautiously embrace your attacker with a friendly hug. They have been know to share after all!
