This is a photo that a friend of mine (Tisa DeForest) took in Boston. It's a picture of a flyer advertising some guy's new band. I think it's hilarious. I would love to meet the dude who posted this flyer. The flyer reads: "GET AWESOME or DIE TRYING. DRUMMER & GUITARISTS WANTED: How would you like to play in a band that would be FLIPPER if an amalgam of Ian Curtis (1977-1986), Glenn Danzig and Chris Isaak sang? Do you like songs that rock and dislike songs that don't rock? The greatest band in the history of the world is forming & it's going to be so sweet that you won't believe what is happening & your head will explode & your dog will turn into a cactus, AND you can be a part of it. INFLUENCES: Unimportant. What matters is a desire to rock so hard that it's quite frankly ridiculous. I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
