Grover G. George developed a love for magic watching "Keller the Great" and "Howard Thurston" at the old Schultz Opera House. By the 1920s, George was touring large, well respected theatres, but faced fierce competition from Thurston. In 1924, he made the key decision to leave the U.S., embarking on a hugely successful tour of Cuba, Central and South America. This poster is from George's return to the American stages as this poster heralds "Triumphant American Tour". Otis Litho.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
