Gene Stratton Porter Portrait Jigsaw Puzzle

Gene Stratton Porter(August 17, 1863 – December 6, 1924) was a Naturalist and Author who lived in Indiana not far from were i live. As well as photographing moths and birds she was well known for her novels and even founded her own silent film production company. She was a woman much ahead of her times. All of the photos I found to reference her were in black and white of course, but I wanted to show her love of the colours found in nature around her and I liked the contrast of it, so i kept it that way rather than add colour to her as I think it turned out rather nice that way. I was a bit disappointed to find that for the price the puzzle was only a small 252 pieces ..... but ....... it is so intricate that if it was bigger I would be frazzled by now bought as a special Christmas jigsaw for work colleagues to play with in our breaks - it is a great way to get the team to collaborate on something fun, and to start conversations between folk, and a great positive opportunity to provide compliments on the effort put in and progress being made the puzzle itself is beautifully made - each piece feels lovely (not a cheap cardboard puzzle) and the shapes are all similar but different Still a work in progress after a week - it's great!!!! a truly lovely thing ... it will come out each year - both at work and at home. great image, and fantastic finish on the pieces
