Gene Stratton Porter Portrait Digital Painting Poster
Gene Stratton Porter(August 17, 1863 – December 6, 1924) was a Naturalist and Author who lived in Indiana not far from were i live. As well as photographing moths and birds she was well known for her novels and even founded her own silent film production company. She was a woman much ahead of her times. All of the photos I found to reference her were in black and white of course, but I wanted to show her love of the colours found in nature around her and I liked the contrast of it, so i kept it that way rather than add colour to her as I think it turned out rather nice that way.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
