GAMAN Venn Hat

For all/any generations. GAMAN (我慢) is a Japanese term of Zen Buddhist origin which means "enduring the seemingly unbearable with patience and dignity". The term is generally translated as "perseverance", "patience", or "tolerance"; to be patient in the face of conflict, difficulties, and otherwise unexpected situations, in order to maintain social unity and harmony. Simply put, life must be endured. The three interlocking “rings” form an open VENN diagram representing/symbolising the following relationships between the following GAMAN elements: - PATIENCE, PERSEVERANCE and TOLERANCE. GAMAN is variously described as a "virtue", an "ethos", a "trait", etc. It means to do one's best in distressed times and to maintain self-control and discipline Colour green typically symbolises “nature” and “tranquillity”; the colour white symbolises “peacefulness”; and red symbolises “strength”.
