From a vintage ad in the New York Tribune dated 1919, this advertisement from the G. Washington Coffee Company. Based in New York and New Jersey, the company developed mass production of instant coffee and became an important military supplier during World War 1. This retro ad reads " Made in the Cup at the Table. Went to War and Home Again. Supplied to the boys in the trenches because the government wanted them to have the best. I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
