Landscape Scottish Farquharson Clan Braemar Castle Jigsaw Puzzle
This landscape puzzle offers a serene scene of grazing sheep and mountain view along with a castle long associated with the Farquharson clan. Braemar Castle, located near the village of Braemar in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, is owned by the chief of Clan Farquharson. The site is leased to a charitable foundation which opens it to the public under the management of the community of Braemar.
The castle was built in 1628 by John Erskine, Earl of Mar, a supporter of William and Mary. It became a casualty of the Jacobite uprisings. The structure was burnt out by John Farquharson of Inverey, the ‘Black Colonel’, who was a staunch Jacobite. It was left a ruin until 1748, then garrisoned troops, before being restored as a home and reoccupied in the early 19th century by the Farquharsons.

I was a bit disappointed to find that for the price the puzzle was only a small 252 pieces ..... but ....... it is so intricate that if it was bigger I would be frazzled by now
bought as a special Christmas jigsaw for work colleagues to play with in our breaks - it is a great way to get the team to collaborate on something fun, and to start conversations between folk, and a great positive opportunity to provide compliments on the effort put in and progress being made
the puzzle itself is beautifully made - each piece feels lovely (not a cheap cardboard puzzle) and the shapes are all similar but different
Still a work in progress after a week - it's great!!!!
a truly lovely thing ... it will come out each year - both at work and at home. great image, and fantastic finish on the pieces
