Old thatched cottages in Ireland are slowly fading from the landscape. Over the past three decades I have photographed them all over the island capturing scenes from the past that are nostalgically remembered today. This cottage is named Gate Lodge Cottage and is in Adare, Co. Limerick Ireland. Adare is famous for its long line of thatched cottages. Some are antique shops, bookshops and restaurants. The photo was taken inside the cottage looking out across the street at the Dunraven Arms Hotel. CUSTOMIZE IT! Add your own name, title or text.
