Chocolat Sucard, or Chocolate Sugar, is a great French Chocolate. The antique chocolate scene shows a proper Art Nouveau lady in a big yellow dress sitting at the table sipping hot chocolate. A little girl in a bonnet and yellow dress are standing next to her having a sip of chocolate sucard as well. The Chocolate advertisement's background is a watercolor scene of the French countryside, showing a castletown, and the label says, "Chocolat Sucard". Of course, the French are known for their little outdoor coffee and chocolate cafes -- and it was the same in the Victorian days when people would sit outside, enjoy the air, and have their chocolate.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
