Franz Marc - Yellow Cow - Expressionist Art Tie

The German military recognised how important the art of Franz Marc would be and issued orders to remove him from military service during World War I. Marc was killed in battle before the order was executed, but many of his wonderful expressionist works now hang in museums and other collections. He is considered one of the most important artists of the German expressionist movement, and he was a founding member of the art journal Der Blaue Reiter (The Blue Rider). He painted this image entitled "The Yellow Cow" in 1911.

I originally ordered 1 tie to test and ensure I liked it with the suits we had ordered! The tie came and it was perfect! We loved it! The colours were bright and the tie was beautifully made. I then ordered the 6 additional ties and the colours are slightly different. The 6 ties were a little less vibrant and the white background was slightly different! .
