Flooded Golf Course Postcard
As a result of the spring thaw and heavy rains, the golf course in the foreground of this photograph is submerged in an abundance of flood water. Late afternoon light strikes the trees and hill on the far side of the course, their reflections showing in the water. The clear blue sky is also mirrored in the flood-created lake. Near the centre of the photo, a lone flagstick extends out of the water at an angle. The pin has a yellow and green flag and a yellow pole. Behind it and to the left, a yellow club house with a grey roof is surrounded by tall dark green hedges to camouflage and protect it from the golfers.
