NewParkLane - Fine Art Playing Card. Vintage illustration, featuring a flamingo (Scarlet Ibis) with an egg. This 17th century drawing is by the female artist Maria Sibylla Merian. On a journey to Surinam (South America) in 1699, a quite dangerous journey, she drew (scientific studies) all sorts of exotic animals, including this scarlet ibis.
