This design features the flag of the Dominican Republic (in Spanish, República Dominicana), which is a country located on the island of Hispaniola in the Greater Antilles archipelago of the Caribbean region. The Dominican Republic occupies the eastern five-eighths of the island, which it shares with Haiti. The official language of the country is Spanish. The flag of the Dominican Republic is red, white and blue: the blue stands for liberty, the white for salvation and the red for the blood of heroes.
